Welcome to Danse contre la violence

Danse contre la violence (Dance Against Violence) is a unique non-profit organization in Quebec.  The organization offers women who are domestic violence survivors dance workshops that empower them to regain control of their bodies and their self-esteem.This alliance between the community and the arts stems from a partnership between Agora de la danse, the dance company Montréal Danse and La Dauphinelle, a shelter for women who are survivors of domestic violence.Since 2009, these survivors of abuse have been offered non-conventional workshops in which they are given the lead role in the path towards their own well-being.  This year, dance workshops will be offered in 4 shelters in the Montreal region (Assistance aux femmes, La Dauphinelle, L’Escale pour Elle and Alternatelle).On May 17, Dance Against Violence will once again partner with Soirée Danse-Affaires and Agora de la danse. The organization will take advantage of this remarkable evening to launch its new website!
